| Emergency Services / Town Hall Facility
East Haddam, August 2010 - The Town of East Haddam has again chosen Newfield to provide construction services on a Town building. This project will convert the old 81,000 square foot middle school into an Emergency Services and Municipal Office facility. The building will be upgraded to accommodated state-of-the-art communications equipment in support of Police and Emergency Management functions. Center Street Apartments Manchester, August 2010 - Newfield will be constructing a new 25,000 square foot multi-family, low-income apartment building in Manchester. This 3-story building will house 20 apartments, laundry and common areas. Newfield will provide construction updates and budget reports in keeping with the federal and state funding authority regulations. CREC Medical Professions and Teacher Preparation Academy Windsor, July 2010 - Newfield was awarded a 3-week fast-track summer adaptive reuse of an office building into a school facility. Renovation includes 50,000 square feet of conversion to 18 classrooms, 2 labs, gymnasium, cafeteria and support spaces. Wilby High School Waterbury, June 2010 - Newfield Construction Inc. has been fortunate to receive our second project for the Waterbury Public Schools. The Wilby High School science suite renovation includes complete gut and remodel of 4 science areas with associated spaces. Cigna Data Center Renovation Bloomfield, May 2010 - Newfield has been engaged to renovate 14,000 square foot into data center usage. Facility upgrades to accommodate this technology intensive use include a new 20,000 CFM air handling unit, electrical upgrades and all finishes. Cigna Waterside Crossing Bloomfield, May 2010 - 125,000 square feet will be renovated to accommodate new administrative and call center space for Cigna. A new full-service cafeteria will also be added to service the needs of the new residents in the renovated space. New infrastructure will include HVAC and Electrical and all new finishes will be incorporated into this project. Residential Recycling Center New Britain, May 2010 - Newfield will be constructing three new buildings including one office and two storage facilities for this large municipal recycling facility. McGee Middle School Berlin, June 2010 - Working as Construction Manager, Newfield Construction, Inc. is providing for the renovation of this 90,000 square foot middle school while the building is occupied. This phased project will consist of heavy HVAC and electrical upgrades as well as ADA compliance items. Choate Rosemary Hall, Andrew Mellon Library Wallingford, June 2010 - Newfield will be renovating 5,000 square feet in this historic 1926 building. At the completion of this project, new Dean's offices, day student lounge and library areas will be renovated. Cigna Corporate Training Facility Bloomfield, December 2009 - Newfield was again hired to assist Cigna in converting a 6,000 square foot day care center on their corporate headquarters campus into a corporate training facility for their employees. The new facility will house classrooms, conference rooms for small group training and individual offices. The exterior of the facility will be renovated and include a new roof and stone veneer, site work and landscaping. Boch Subaru Torrington, September 2009 – Newfield was hired to assist Boch Enterprises in building a replacement dealership in Torrington. The new 20,000 square foot facility will offer room for an additional 70 cars, increasing their total capacity to 180 vehicles. The building itself will house a large showroom, offices and service area. This is the second Subaru dealership that Newfield has completed for Boch, the first being on Jennings Road in Hartford which was completed in 2008. CIGNA Aircraft Hangar Modifications Awarded to Newfield October 2009– Cigna Insurance required renovation of their aircraft hangar at Bradley International Airport. Newfield will install a new HVAC system, passenger entry area, and installation of a fabric liner covering the entire interior of the hangar. This project will be fast-tracked and will begin in November. American Airlines at Bradley Airport Windsor Locks, August 2009– Newfield is completing the fit-out of two areas for American Airlines’ relocation to Terminal A at Bradley Airport. more> Newfield Retained for Stratford Municipal Buildings Stratford, July 2009– Acting as Construction Manager, Newfield has been retained to assist the Town of Stratford with various projects at their municipal buildings. more> Living Word Ministries West Haven, March 2009 – As part of Living Word’s development as a church community, Newfield will act as Construction Manager on renovation of their sanctuary. more> |
