The students at JFK High School in Waterbury created thank you cards for the Newfield team, for a job well done. Josh Johnson, Newfield's Project Manager, stated, "there is nothing more rewarding than seeing these students excited about learning in this new building." The students now enjoy a new two-story 30,000 square foot addition housing classrooms, science labs, an auxiliary gymnasium, fitness center, support facilities as well as new tennis courts and combined football/softball field. Because of the site's steep grade, the building was connected to the existing school via a second story glass-enclosed foot bridge. The front office area was also renovated-as-new to include administrative area, nurse clinic and conference rooms. Next spring, Newfield will complete a new turf field and site work project.
