Newfield Construction has completed a myriad of projects for Cigna including office and conference room renovations, data center and HVAC upgrades, mailroom and bathroom renovations. Below are a few of the key projects we have completed.

CIGNA Executive Conference Rooms
Newfield renovated the Washington Conference Room on the Bloomfield campus and provided energy upgrades to the suite of conference facilities. Four new chillers were added for supplemental cooling to the conference room suite. In addition, Newfield led the effort to rebalance the air handling system in the North Wing of the building for approximately 50,000sf of office space. The project was fast-tracked in 10-weeks.

CIGNA Waterside Crossing, Bloomfield
Newfield completed a 125,000sf renovation of administrative and call center space. A new cafeteria was also added. New infrastructure including HVAC and Electrical and all new finishes were incorporated into this project.

CIGNA Data Center, Bloomfield
Newfield was hired to renovate general office space into a 14,000sf Data Center. The project included a new 20,000 CFM air handling unit, electrical upgrades and a full complement of finishes.

CIGNA Training Center, Bloomfield
Newfield was hired to assist Cigna convert a 6,000 square foot day care center on their corporate headquarters campus into a corporate training facility for their employees. The new facility houses classrooms, conference rooms for small group training and individual offices. The exterior of the facility has been renovated and includes a new roof and stone veneer, site work and landscaping.

CIGNA Airport Hangar, Windsor Locks
On a fast-track, Newfield renovated Cigna's aircraft hangar at Bradley International Airport. As part of the renovation, Newfield installed a new HVAC system and fabric liner covering the entire interior of the facility. The passenger entry area was also re-worked to provide more coverage from the elements.

As a follow-up project, Newfield was brought back to the Hangar to build a 5,000sf addition for equipment storage.

CIGNA ETL Laboratory Renovation, Bloomfield
Renovation of Cigna's data center is currently underway and includes new servers with associated utility upgrades of cooling towers, network closets, UPS systems and supplemental cooling. A raised access flooring system supports this 2,000sf renovation.
