Acting as Construction Manager, Newfield worked with the Xavier Building Committee from early conceptual design through construction to enhance Xavier’s academic and athletic programs. The core of the project was a new 10,500 square foot addition for the fine arts and science instruction. Included in the addition were private music practice rooms, a 130-seat music suite, an AV recording booth, and a music library with instrument storage. Both the art and chemistry classrooms were included in the addition as well.
Upgrades to the athletics included a new baseball field with bleachers, dugouts, bullpens and batting cages as well as a new track and synthetic turf field, complete with a press box and support building concessions, ticketing, team rooms, trainer’s room and restrooms.
These additions and renovations to the school’s academic and athletic programs, provide mentally and physically enjoyable spaces for the students and staff.
