In an effort to combat years of issues concerning mold, humidity, HVAC and exterior envelope issues, the Town of Westport selected Newfield Construction to provide preconstruction and construction phase services for the complete renovation of the Coleytown Middle School. The project will address long standing issues experienced over many years and includes a new building envelope to address water issues, new HVAC and air quality systems to combat humidity and mold along with various interior renovations and site work. Sun shades will be removed to create an open air environment and allow for more natural light to enter classroom and administrative spaces. Sitework will address water drainage issues that have plagued the site for years in addition to rehabilitated pedestrian and vehicular traffic patterns.
