Newfield Construction led in providing construction management services via joint venture during the renewal of the old Weaver High School for the City of Hartford. This multi-phased renovated “neighborhood” high school focuses its learning on three academies – Journalism & Media, Kinsella School of Performing Arts, and High School, Inc.

The existing building was designed for a student body of 2500 and the renovated facility will educate 975 requiring an innovative approach for right sizing so that maximum project funding was realized from the State. This High Performance Building Standards facility is home to 295,000sf of classrooms, common and support spaces and a 90,000 sq ft fieldhouse that includes gymnasium, locker rooms, weight rooms, and a natatorium.
