Design-build was the project delivery method for a 13,500 square foot Neurology Nursing Unit renovation which included 14 Private Patient rooms (two with handicapped accessible toilets), three "sleep rooms", two semi-private patient rooms, one seclusion room, one isolation room with handicapped toilet and shower, and a suite of five observation rooms with dedicated nurse's station. Support services of clean linen storage, soiled holding, medicine dispensing room, equipment storage, staff lockers, and conference rooms were also included. A family lounge attends to visitor needs and a new air handler on the roof completed this project.
An additional 11,500 square foot renovation of an existing Nursing Unit was updated into a Rehab Patient Care Unit. The area was reconfigured with interior partitions and a 1,000 square foot addition was constructed over an existing roof for addition space. All doors, frames, ceilings and finishes were replaced, in accordance with L&M Hospital Design Standards. New ducts, power, lighting, nurse call, head walls, were included in this project.
