Park Place Health Center, a long-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility, required renovation of a wing for creation of a new Alzheimer's Unit, to deliver services in a safe and secure environment. Newfield's first project included the renovation of 17 double and single occupancy rooms with 33 beds. The community room, dining room and new nursing station were also renovated. Newfield replaced mechanical and electrical systems, performed minor structural repairs, added new bathrooms, windows and flooring, and added an access control system. In addition, an outdoor patio area, within an interior courtyard, allows residents the opportunity to explore the outdoors in a secure environment. New sidewalks, gazebo, landscaping, lighting and a hands-on gardening area improve the outdoor environment for residents.
Newfield was brought back again to complete the renovation of a second patient wing with 35 beds, for long-term care patients. Again, a full renovation of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and finishes was required to update this facility.
