The facility, housed in the historic Basketball Hall of Fame combines 20,000 square feet of renovated space with a new two-story, 20,000 square foot addition featuring a lap pool and basketball court. State-of-the-art aerobic, cycling and strength training areas, complemented by high-end locker room facilities further distinguish this facility as the fitness club of choice in the area.
This 45,000 square foot facility includes 3 stories of gym equipment, a cycling room, aerobics studio, full basketball court, five-lane lap pool and juice bar. The space also includes immaculate locker room facilities with rich cherry wood lockers, corian benches and countertops, a dry sauna and full shower facilities.
The interior excavation of the pool was challenging for Newfield. Extensive coordination was required to ensure that adjacent structures, utilities and neighboring tenants were not disturbed. The existing steel structure also posed many conflicts with new mechanical items and limited ceiling heights throughout the space. Extensive coordination efforts and "in-the-field" engineering allowed Newfield to maximize ceiling heights creating a comfortable space to work out.
This 51,000 square foot facility features lap pool and spa, basketball court, four racquetball courts, aerobic and cycling and strength training areas, complemented by high-end locker room facilities will distinguish this facility as the fitness club of choice in the area. A café/juice bar and childcare facilities encourage a broader experience for club members and their guests.
This old Best Buy store was converted to accommodate this new fitness center at the Westfield Mall. Fitness center, racquetball, aerobic and cycling areas and full complement of locker room facilities are included in this project. An addition allows for a new lap pool for the club. Extensive sitework, including blasting was part of this contract.
