Newfield has provided construction services to Trinity College for the past 10 years. Newfield completed a life safety and full fire protection upgrade to all of Trinity’s residence halls. Highly phased and difficult to stage due to a tight urban setting, this project was expedited for completion during summer and winter breaks. Other projects that Newfield has completed for Trinity includes chemistry and biology laboratories and summer maintenance work. Safety concerns, security issues, M/WBE participation, accommodating the needs of faculty, staff and facility management and phasing have all been a part of Newfield’s Trinity experience.

Trinity is one of the premier colleges for squash play internationally. In 2002, both the girls and boys teams won the NCAA squash titles. Housed in a 1930’s facility with restrictive site access, Newfield Construction worked to develop two international championship level squash courts. The courts utilized a three- walled specially designed glass from Germany that required extensive field dimensioning due to restricted site space and a significant amount of overseas coordination. Wooden viewing stands and an open viewing mezzanine were included as part of this project as were renovated athletic director office spaces.
