Net Zero-Energy School

Newfield Construction has teamed with the Town of Mansfield to build a Net Zero-Energy Building in Connecticut

A Net Zero-Energy (NZE) building consumes only as much energy as it generates through renewable sources like solar panels, heat pumps, and efficient insulation, aiming to achieve a balance annually. These buildings strive to emit fewer greenhouse gases than conventional buildings during their operations, even though they may occasionally rely on non-renewable energy sources. Promoting zero-energy facilities is driven by environmental concerns, incentivized by tax benefits, and cost savings in energy expenses, making them economically feasible.
