Newfield Construction provided Construction Management services for the new Moser School in Rocky Hill. The new 79,150sf school alleviates overcrowding in the Town’s two existing kindergarten through 5th-grade schools by relocating the Town’s 4th and 5th-grade students to the new school. The project was subject to the requirements of the CT DAS Office of School Construction Grants and Review (OSCG&R). The new school was built on the site of the former Moser School, which was demolished before the construction of the new school.
The school focuses on integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education across the curriculum. The building provides space and equipment to effectively nurture problem-solving skills through hands-on learning with the Connecticut Science Standards embedded.

The project scope included 26 classrooms, six large science laboratory classrooms outfitted for general studies and STEM learning, a full-sized gymnasium, a cafetorium, and a media center. In addition, the complex site was reimagined to include redesigned athletic fields for baseball, softball, soccer, and lacrosse for use by the school and the community.
