Newfield Construction assisted the BIC Corporation in relocating their Consumer Products Division Headquarters from Milford to Shelton.
Upon purchasing an existing 150,000 square foot office building, BIC retained Newfield to renovate the building which now is home to 80,000 square feet of office space, including a new data center and IT department. All of these spaces required new partitions, finishes and upgraded MEP services. In addition, the first floor public spaces received new finishes and lighting and an existing kitchen was demolished and replaced. A two-story semi-circular addition was constructed off the main lobby to accommodate additional dining space.
The entire building façade was dismantled and replaced with metal wall panels, windows were repaired and extensive site work occurred.
As a corporate leader in sustainability efforts, BIC designed this facility to attain LEED Silver Accreditation.
