Renovating and adding to the U.S. Army Reserve Center in West Hartford was a project long overdue. The facilities were not conducive to the proper training of our nation’s military reservists, and additional space was required to fill the load of trainees coming through this location. In addition, security, storage, and maintenance facilities were also lacking on this campus.

Newfield renovated the 43,000sf building to include communications and military police functions, classrooms, conference, and training areas. A 27,000sf addition supplemented the training space and added locker room facilities.

A new 29,000sf facility included a triple high-bay Sallyport for military vehicles and storage facilities. A new 9,500sf maintenance shop and a new 4,000sf small arms and hazardous materials storage building completed the project.
