Newfield Construction acted as the Construction Manager at Risk for the Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy Addition and Renovation project located within Hartford’s Learning Corridor. This expansion provided grade 6 through 12 students the resources and opportunity for an early college experience. The 50,000 sf addition and renovation included renovations to the Learning Corridor Schools shared Commons Building to increase cafeteria seating and library adaptation to accommodate more open study areas. Science laboratories were renovated to meet high school curricula expectations, and a state-of-the-art workout area was added and connected to a dance room. The project was renovated while occupied in three phases, and Connecticut High-Performance Building Standards were achieved. Newfield also adhered to Hartford’s EEO and M/WBE goals and Hartford resident project participation.
