Newfield Construction was selected by the Towns of Old Lyme and Lyme to renovate and expand the existing Lymes’ Senior Center. The expansion added roughly 3,300 SF to the existing building, allowing for more rooms to be added and thus, let its’ visitors enjoy a greater variety of activities and services.
Alongside a new kitchen, renovations included a new library, new entry for a “greeter cafe” for better membership service and information, motorized room partition for greater room flexibility and new technology integrated into the building such as an updated AV and speaker system, with hearing assistance modifications, and updated lighting throughout the facility and grounds to meet current code.
Lastly, sitework included the expansion of the parking lot to allow for more visitors and overall improvements to the landscaping.
